Synopsis of Previous Council Action:
11/20/2000 - Council authorized payment of $19,774.70 to the law firm of Gresham, Savage,
Nolan and Tilden for legal work related to the proposed City Charter.
Recommended Motion:
That the City Administrator and Finance Department staff be directed to compile a report with
support documentation of all costs related to Measure "M" for the Mayor and Common
Council.

Charter Review Process Cost Report
The requested action is to direct the City Administrator and the
Finance Department to compile a report of all costs that were
incurred for the Charter Review process and all other activities
related to placing Measure "M" on the ballot. The requested report
must include backup documentation for all activities including the
following:
a) All bills paid and unpaid.
b) All bills incurred but not yet received
c) City staff time costs
d) All KCSS production costs for broadcasting of the Charter
Review
The need for this information was initially made during the Meeting of
the Mayor and Common Council held on November 20, 2000 during
the discussion of item S1 - Council authorization of payment of
$19,774 to the law firm of Gresham, Savage, Nolan, & Tilden for legal
work.
Upon completion, this report will provide the taxpayers of our City and
the Mayor and Common Council with an accurate and complete
report of all costs. In addition, this report will serve as a useful tool to
identify bills or fees that may be recoverable from outside sources.
