RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING/RATIFYING
THE CHAIRMAN OR SECRETARY, ON BEHALF OF THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY, TO EXECUTE/ACCEPT THE CORPORATION GRANT DEED
RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO (ROBERT K. AND EVELYN J. BLATTER PARCEL
NOS. I AND 2) GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF INTERSECTIONS
FOOTHILL AND MANZANITA DRIVE
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino, Community Development
Commission has fostered substantial numbers of prior and pending low to
moderate income residential housing; and
WHEREAS, the Commission further acknowledges the desirability
of an economic mix of tenants and owner-occupants in the cities overall
housing stock to promote stable residential neighborhoods for
purchasers of all economic strata; and
WHEREAS, the Commission has identified property located at
Foothill and Manzanita Drive (Parcels No. I and No. 2 referenced more
specifically by the attached Exhibits I of the property description and
Exhibit 2 of the parcel map) as an opportune site for the location and
development of upscale housing; and
WHEREAS, acquisition of said properties would allow the
preservation of existing orange groves that are of important historical
value to the City in addition to facilitating the purchase of upscale

housing by developers or individual owners; and

WHEREAS, the Commission acting on behalf of the Redevelopment
Agency previously authorized the staff to negotiate, acquire and close
escrow on the aforemention properties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED BY THE
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
THAT
