RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH KAKU ASSOCIATES FOR A
TRAFFIC STUDY FOR THE "E" STREET BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino (the "City") authorized the Director of Public Works
to solicit proposals for a Southeast Industrial Park traffic
engineering study to determine traffic improvements needed on South
"E" Street; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of a traffic engineering study is to
project future traffic levels in the Southeast Industrial Park Area
of the City, to assess the potential impacts of traffic on the
existing and future street system, and to develop a series of
preliminary traffic mitigation measures to address any deficiencies
identified by such a traffic study; and
WHEREAS, a traffic engineering study is particularly needed
to examine the impacts related to the completion of the second half
of the "E" Street Bridge across the Santa Ana River; and
WHEREAS, four (4) proposals were received by the Director
of Public Works for the Southeast Industrial Park traffic
engineering study on South "E" Street; and

WHEREAS, the City Engineer is recommending that the
Southeast Industrial Park traffic engineering study be awarded by
the San Bernardino Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency") to Kaku
Associates.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION,
ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Executive Director of the Agency be
authorized to enter into a consultant contract in a form as
substantially provided for in Exhibit "A" attached hereto with Kaku
Associates for a traffic engineering study to determine traffic
improvement needs on South "E" Street. Such contract is not to
exceed Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000).
