Backl!round:
The City of San Bernardino and the San Bernardino Unified School District have participated in
the school crossing guard program for a number of years. Currently, the Police Department has
administrative oversight of the program and both parties contribute fifty-percent (50%) of the
financial costs of operating the program. The most recent service agreement expired June 30,
2011. This agreement is retroactive back to July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. No interruption
of services have or will occur.

AMENDMENT NO.6 TO THE CROSSING GUARD SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AND
THE SAN BERNARDINO CITY UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
This Agreement is made and entered into this _ day of ,2012, by and between the
San Bernardino City Unified School District, herein after referred to as the "District" with its principal
place of business at 777 North "F" Street, San Bernardino, California 92410, and the City of San
Bernardino Police Department, hereinafter referred to as "City" having a business address at 710 N. "0"
Street, San Bernardino, California 92401.
WHEREAS, the City and the District previously entered into an Agreement to share equally the
cost of a school crossing guard program; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to extend the agreement through the current school year; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend Paragraphs I and V of the agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree to amend paragraphs I and V of the Agreement to read
as follows:
1. TERM OF AGREEMENT
A. This Agreement is effective beginning July I, 2011, and continuing through June 30,
2012. The school year is from July I to June 30 of each succeeding year.
V. CITY'S FEE AND PAYMENT THEREOF
A. In accordance with negotiations with the City, the District agrees to compensate the City
for one-half of the costs of services rendered to accomplish the results required
hereunder, in the total amount not to exceed $207,600.00. Invoices are submitted
quarterly (three months).
All other terms and conditions will remain the same.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have executed this Agreement as set forth below.

RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino and the San Bernardino City Unified School
District have an Agreement to share the costs of the school crossing guard program; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to continue the Agreement through the current school
year.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute

share the cost of the school crossing guard program attached hereto as Exhibit "A."
SECTION 2: That the implementation date of this agreement is July I, 2011,
therefore, any action taken between July I, 2011, and the date that this resolution is adopted is
hereby ratified,
SECTION 3: The authorization to execute the above referenced Amendment IS
rescinded ifit is not executed within sixty (60) days of the passage of this Resolution,
