NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute
Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement with Redlands Unified School District, approved on
January 10, 2008, by Resolution No. 2008-11, to provide a crossing guard at Victoria
Elementary School in the City of San Bernardino, a copy of which is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A," and incorporated herein by this reference.
SECTION 2. That the implementation date of Amendment No.4 to the Agreement is
July 1, 2011; therefore any action taken between July 1, 2011, and the date that this
Resolution is adopted is hereby ratified.
SECTION 3. The authorization to execute the above referenced Amendment IS
rescinded if it is not executed within sixty (60) days of the passage of this Resolution.

AMENDMENT NO.4 TO THE CROSSING GUARD SERVICES AGREEMENT'-'
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AND THE REDLANDS UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT

This Agreement is made and entered into this9th day of January, 2012, by and
between the Redlands Unified School District, hereinafter referred to as the "District" with its
principal place of business at 20 West Lugonia Avenue, Redlands, California 92373, and the City
of San Bernardino Police Department, hereinafter referred to as the "City" having a business
address at 710 North 'D' Street, San Bernardino, California 92401.
WHEREAS, the City and the District previously entered into an Agreement to provide
crossing guard services to Victoria elementary School, which was approved by the City's Mayor
and Council on January 10,2008, by resolution No. 2008-11; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend Paragraphs I and V;
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
I. TERM OF AGREEMENT
A.
This Agreement is effective beginning July 1,2011, and continuing through June
30,2012. The school year is from July I to June 30 of each succeeding year.
V. CITY'S FEE AND PAYMENT THEREOF
A. The actual costs of the services for the 2011-2012 school year are estimated to be
$10,300.00. In accordance with the negotiation with the City, the District agrees
to compensate the City for one-half of the costs of services rendered to
accomplish the results required hereunder, in a total amount not to exceed
$5,150.00. The cost for the crossing guards is an estimated cost of $14.28 per
hour, including benefits, 4 hours per day, 180 school days. Invoices are submitted
quarterly (every three months).
All other terms and conditions will remain the same.
IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have executed this Agreement as set forth below.
