RESOLUTION NO. /;? .3J~ RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BEaNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6433 ENTITLED IN l'ART "A RESOLUTION . . . ESTABLISHING l'OSITIONS FOR THE VARIOUS DEl'ARTMENTS . . ."; AND AMENDING SECTION TWELVE RELAT:tNG TO HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNAR- DINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 6433, Section Twelve, Subsection (e) is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION TWELVE: (e) The City shall pay the monthly subscription charges for the sub- scriber only for group health insurance for Safety Members of the Fire Depart- ment through August 31, 1978, with the maximum payment limited to the $25.02 premium now charged by the health insurance carrier for the fire fighter's union or the $21.11 now charged by the City's prime group health insurance carrier, provided the selection is limited to any of the group health plans as may be approved by the City. The City shall pay the monthly subscription charges for the subscriber only for group health insurance for Safety Members of the Police Department through August 31, 1978, with the maximum payment limited to the premium charged by the City's prime group health insurance carrier, provided the group health plan is limited to any of the group health . plans as may be approved by the City, The City shall pay the monthly subscrip- tion charges for an employee and one dependent not to exceed forty-nine dollars and seventy-eight cents ($49.78) for group health insurance for management/ confidential and general employees and employees who are full time employees whose positions are funded under Federal law and who are regularly employed in a permanent or Federally funded position, if such a benefit is required by Federal law, and their dependents, provided the group health plan is limited to any of the group health plans as may be approved by the City. In the event a general employee chooses not to have a dependent covered, the difference in 1 premium between single and two-party coverage may be utilized by that general 2 employee for other health and welfare programs available as a result of any 3 valid Memoranda of Understanding between the City and employee organizations. 4 The City further shall pay any increases in health insurance subscription S charges for each management/confidential, general employee, Federally funded 6 employee as aforesaid, and one family member as may be charged by either of 7 the group health plans approved by the City through June 30, 1977 up to a 8 maximum total increase of fifteen percent (15%) over the current charge by the 9 prime group health insurance carrier of forty-nine dollars and seventy-eight 10 cents ($49.78). In addition to group health insurance, the City shall provide to management/confidential employees ten thousand dollars ($10,000) life 11 12 insurance coverage and provide to general employees, Federally funded employees 13 as aforesaid, and safety employees one thousand dollars ($1,000) life insurance 14 coverage payable by the City." 15 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at a A-4ff/.I~.A-~ meeting thereof, held on the /.,5 M day of ~~, 1976, by the following vote, to wit: 16 17 18 Councilmen ~~ V~ ~~~ ~/../H~ Cd"/~ X~~ 79# .>t.r ./ . ~~~.
