RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO OPPOSING CALIFORNIA STATE SENATE BILL NO. 1115 WHICH WOULD PROHIBIT ANIMAL CONTROL PERSONNEL FROM SEIZING ANY Don OR ISSUING A CITATION OF VIOLATION TO ANY DOG OWNER WHEN THE DOG IS UPON THE OWNERS PRIVATE PROPERTY. WHEREAS, State Senate Bill No. 1115 would permit dog owners to allow their dogs to be unrestrained upon their own private property; and WHEREAS, the proposed addition to the Government Code would restrict enforcement of leash laws; and WHEREAS, the passage of California State Senate Bill No. 1115 will have a detrimental effect on the health and safety of the citizens of San Bernardino, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City of San Bernardino by and through its legislative body Opposes California State Senate Bill No. 1115 which places restrictions on the enforcement of leash laws.
