A RESOLUTION OF TEE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF TEE CITY OF SAN :BEBNA.RDINO
DETERMINING THE DENOMINATIONS, DATES AND PLACES OF PAYMENT OF BONDS TO BE ISSUED
TO PAY THE COST OF THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF SEWERS A1TD
SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT, AND APPURTENANCES, APPLIANCES AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE
TRA..1{SPORTATION AND DISPOSAL OF SEWAGE, AS WELL AS THE ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY
A1ID RIGHTS OF WAY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF, AS PROVIDED BY AN ELECTION HELD
IN SAID CITY ON THE 30th DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1927.
WHEREAS, at a special election duly and regularly held in the City of San
Bernardino on the 30th day of November, 1927, the following proposition was
submitted to the electors of said City to-wit:
"Shall the City of San Bernardino incur a bonded indebtedness in the sum
of $650,000.00 for the acquisition, construction and comphetion, for the use
and benefit of said City, of sewers, a sewage disposal plant, and appurten-
ances, appliances and equipment for the transportation and disposal of
sewage of said City, as well as the acquisition of property and rights of
way for the construction thereof?"
and
WHEREAS, such proposition so submitted received more than two-thirds of
the votes of the qualified voters voting at such election; and
WHEREAS, more than two-thirds of the voters at such election have authorized
the incurring by said City of a bonded indebtedness in accordance with the
proposition so submitted:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that one-thirtieth of the principal of said
bonded indebtedness shall be paid on the 15th day of March of each and every
year, beginning on the 15th day of March, 1929, at the office of the City
Treasurer of said City of San Bernardino, and that interest on said bonded
indebtedness at the rate of five per cent per annum from the 15th day of March,
1928, shall be paid semi-annually on the 15th day of September and on the 15th
day of March of each and every year, beginning on the 15th day of September, 1928,
at the office of said City Treasurer, and that all bonds issued to evidence such
indebtedness shall bear date as of the. 15th day of March, 1928, and bear interest
at the rate of five per cent per annum, payable semi-annually upon the dates
aforesaid, and shall provide that the principal and interest thereof shall be
payable at the place aforesaid.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tha.t the bonds issued to evidence said indebtedness
shall be in the following denominations, and payable upon the following dates,
respectively:
Twenty-one bonds in the principal sum of $1000.00 each, one bond in the
principal sum of $500.00, and one bond in the principal sum of $166.67, shall
be pa:rable one yea,r after their date, and a like number of bonds for like princ1p~
sums, respectively, shall be payable at the expiration of the second year, and each
succeeding year, up to and including the twentieth year after the date of such
bonds; that twenty-one bonds in the princiual sum of $1000.00 each, one bond
in the principal sum of $500.00, ~~d one bond in the principal sum of $166.66
shall be payable on the twenty-first year after the date of said bonds, and that
the same number of bonds for the same principal sums, respectively, a.s are
herein provided to be paid on the 21st year after the date of such bonds, shall
be payable on the 22nd year after the date of such bonds, and each year thereafter
up to and including the 30th year after'the date of such bonds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all bonds issued to evidence said indebtedness
shall be signed by the Mayor of said City, and signed by the City Treasurer of
said City, and counter-signed by the City Clerk of said City, and that all
interest coupons upon such bonds shall be numbered consecutively, and signed by
said City Treasurer; provided, that the lithographed or other fac-simile
signature of such Treasurer upon all such interest coupons shall constitute a
signing by such Treasurer.
BE IT ~JRTHER RESOLVED, that said bonds shall be substantially in the
following form:

City of San Bernardino, California, March 15th, 1928.
On the fifteenth day of March, A. D. 19
, the City of San Bernardino
will pay to the bearer in the office of the Treasurer of the City of San Bernardino,
in the City of San Bernardino, State of California, the sum of
DOLLARS, with interest thereon from date, at the rate of five per

cent per annum, payable semi-annually on the fifteenth day of September and the
fifteenth day of March of each year at the office of said Treasurer of said City,
upon the presentation and surrender of the respective ~~d proper coupons hereto
attached, princiual and interest payable in lawful money of the United States
of America.
This bond is one of six hundred and ninety bonds of even date herewith;
said bonds are numbered consecutively from one to six hundred and ninety (1 to 690),
both numbers inclusive, and amount in the aggregate of Six Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars, twenty-three of said bonds being payable one year from date thereof,
as aforeseid, and twenty-three of said bonds being payable in like manner each
and every year thereafter on the fifteenth day of March, until the whole of
said bonds shall have been paid, the last payment being due on the fifteenth day
of March, A. D. 1958.
This bond is issued in pursuance of law.
It is further certified that all requirement of law and of the Charter
and Ordinances of the City of San Bernardino have been fully complied with by
the proper officers in the issuance of this bond, that this issue of bonds has
been authorized by the vote of two-thirds of all the voters voting at the
special election to authorize the issuance of the same, which special election
was duly and regularly held in the said City on the 30th day of November, 1927,
and that the total amount of the indebtedness of said City of San Bernardino,
incurred by this issue of bonds, together with all other indebtedness actually
incurred or authorized to be incurred, does not, in the aggregate, exceed fifteen
per cent of the assessed value of all of the real and personal property of
the said City of San Bernardino, nor does it exceed the limit prescribed by the
constitution and the laws of the State of California.
IN WIT~mSS W:fEREOF, the said City of San Bernardino has caused this bond to
be signed by the executive of the municipality, to-wit: by the Mayor and also
by the Treasurer of said City, and to be countersigned by the Clerk of said City,
and the corporate seal of said City to be hereto affixed and the said City has
