~LUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE TRAINING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AND THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL.
WHEREAS, the State of California, Department of California
Highway Patrol requires written training agreements from any
agency participating in their training programs; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of San Bernardin
desires from time to time to participate in certain training
programs sponsored and administered by the Department of
California Highway Patrol; and
WHEREAS, a resolution of the Mayor and Common Council of
the City of San Bernardino is required for the 1977/1978 and
1978/1979 fiscal years,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized and
directed to sign such training agreements when required for the
fiscal years 1977/1978 and 1978/1979. (#167-77/78 Agreement Attach~d)

TRA IHING AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this

by and through the Department of California Highway Patrol, hereinafter
called CHP, and the City
of San Bernardino
hereinafter called
contractor.
WITNESSETH, by and in consideration of the covenants and
conditions herein contained, the CHP and the contractor do hereby
agree as follows:
1. CHP agrees to allow contractor to attend training classes
during the period(s) as follows: Initial Motorcycle Training Classes:
10/31-11/10, 1 trainee; 12/5-15, 1 trainee.
2. CHP agrees to provide living, dining, and classroom
facilities as required.
3. As consideration for the use of the Academy facilities,
contractor agrees to pay CHP ~pon receipt of an invoice in accordance
with the following:
Per resident student . . . . .$ 25.00 per day
Per non-resident student . . .$ W/A per day
Instruction fee . . . . . . . .$ ~R nn per 8 hour day

4. All training is conducted on a space available basis.
