HomeMy WebLinkAbout13106 I- I , i 1 RESOLUTION NO. /3,,~ 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ACCEPTING THE REVIEW APPRAISER'S DETERMINATION OF FAIR MARKET VALUE OF THE PROPERTY GENERALLY 3 LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF FOURTH STREET AND MT. VIEW AVENUE, SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, AND CERTIFYING THE WORK OF THE APPRAISERS. 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 WHEREAS, City of San Bernardino is contemplating the purchase of property generally located at the Northwest corner of Fourth Street and Mt. View Avenue, in the City of San Bernardino; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino is the owner of the lot and parcel of real property and buildings; and WHEREAS, the City desires to now purchase the said lot and parcel of real property and buildings; and WHEREAS, City has reviewed the appraisers' determination of the fair market value of the land and buildings thereon and their reports thereon and has specifically reviewed and studied the review appraiser's determination of the fair market value and his report thereon; and WHEREAS, the City intends to purchase said lot and parcel of real property and buildings with Community Development funds, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS: 1. That said lot and parcel of real property and buildings situated thereon owned by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino in the City of Sa.n Bernardino and described as follows: PARCEL 1 That portion of Lot 8, Block 31, of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page I, records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, State of California, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Lot, 100 feet North of the Southeast corner thereof; running thence North along the East line of said Lot, 50 feet; thence West to the West line of said Lot; thence South 50 feet; thence East to the Point of Beginning. , 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 PARCEL 2 That portion of Lot 1, Block 31, of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page 1, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning 150 feet North of the Southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence North 100 feet, more or less, to the property conveyed by A. Frederick and Wife, to H. C. Boyd, July 28, 1887; thence West along the South line of said Boyd property, 150 feet, more or less, to the West line of said Lot; thence South 100 feet, more or less, to a point 150 feet North of the Southwest corner of said Lot; thence East 150 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning. PARCEL 3 That portion of Lot 1, Block 31, of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page 1, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Lot, 70 feet North of the Southeast corner; thence North along the East line, 79.57 feet; thence West, 74.95 feet; thence South, 79.6 feet to a point 70 feet North of the South line of said Lot 1; thence East, 74.98 feet to the Point of Beginning. PARCEL 4 That portion of Lot 1, Block 31, of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page 1, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot 1; thence North, 70 feet; thence West, 75 feet; thence South, 70 feet to the South line of said Lot 1; thence East, 75 feet to the Point of Beginning. PARCEL 5 That portion of Lot 1, Block 31, of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page 1, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Lot; thence East, 73l:i feet, more or less, to a point 75 feet West of the Southeast corner of said Lot; thence North, 150 feet; thence West, 73l:i feet, more or less to the West line of said Lot; thence South on the West line of said Lot, 150 feet to the Point of Beginning. PARCEL 6 Lot 2, Block 31, of the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page 1, records of said County. 1 EXCEPTING therefrom the North 115 feet thereof. 2 TOGETHER with the Grantor's interest in and to a private alley 20 feet in width extending along and parallel with the Westerly 3 line of said Lot 2 more fully described in the Deed dated September 16, 1887 and recorded September 16, 1887 in Book 61 4 of Deeds, page 490, records of San Bernardino County, State of California. EXCEPTING therefrom the Easterly 10 feet of said 5 alley lying within Lot 2 of said Block 31 6 is hereby determined, based upon all of the appraisers' reports submitted 7 herewith, to have a fair market value of $491,500.00, and said amount is 8 hereby established as the fair market value for said property. 9 2. The City of San Bernardino does hereby certify that the work 10 of the appraisers and the review appraiser with respect to the lot and 11 parcel of real property and buildings situated thereon has been performed in 12 a compe~ent manner in accordance with the applicable State law, the Act, 13 and Department of Housing and Urban Development policies and requirements. 14 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at an d~~ _Un.
