The Community Development Commission has previously taken actions relative to the
development of a San Bernardino Baseball Stadium involving establishment of an Ad Hoc
Committee, retention of a marketing consultant and selection of a site for said stadium.

San Bernardino BasebaU Stadium
The Commission has previously discussed various aspects of developing a baseball stadium in
order to fBciIitate the retention of the San Bernardino Spirit Single "A" baseball team. The
Commission has also taken actions establishing a baseball stadium Ad Hoc Committee and
retained Peat MarwicklHOK to conduct a stadium feasibility study.
During its most recent consideration of this mstter, the Commission reviewed the Peat
MarwickIHOK consultant's report, took action selecting the Central City South site as the best
location for a baseball stadium and directed staff to prepare a financing plan with the
understanding that said plan would be brought back to the Commission on August IS, 1994.
While work has commenced on the financing plan, there is still much to be accomplished and
more time is needed to put together all aspects of the proposed financing plan. Based upon this
situation, staff recommends continuation of this item to September 20, 1994.
