REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
On December 12, 1988, the Ways and Means Committee recommended that cert i:l i 11 City
owned parcels be considered for sale.
On March 20, 1989, the Real Property Section was authorized to proceed with the
sale of those parcels. As part of the proceedings, all City departments were
notified of the proposed sale, and solicited for their comments and
recommendations relative to present or future needs.
The Redevelopment Agency expressed their interest and desire to purchase the
property located at 181 South "G" Street.
On August 7, 1989, Resolution 89-317 was adopted, authorizing the execution of a
Purchase and Sale Agreement between the City and RDA, and on August 21, 1989,
authorization was given to sell said property to RDA.
RDA has opened an escrow with North American Title Company, and the adoption of
the attached resolution authorizes the execution of certain documents necessary
for the completion of this transfer.

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE EXECUTION OF ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS AND A GRANT DEED, RELATIVE TO
THE SALE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 181 SOUTH "G" STREET, TO THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino owns a certain parcel of land,
generally located at 181 South "G" Street, in the City of San Bernardino,
more fully described in Exhibits "A-l" and "A-2", and their respective
exhibits each marked as Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein by reference as
fully as though set forth at length.
WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino has determined that said
parcel of land is not needed for present use by said City; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino
desires to purchase said parcel of land; and
WHEREAS, said Redevelopment Agency has opened escrow with North
American Title Company, and the execution of certain documents is necessary
to complete this transaction.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.

authorized and directed to execute certain escrow instructions, d copy of
which is attached hereto as said Exhibit "A-I", and Grant Deed, a copy of
which is attached hereto as said Exhibit "A-2", relative to the sale of
certain real property, more fully described in said Exhibits.
