View Avenue Council Notes: 75.0262 Agenda Item NO.S jJ CITY OF SAN BERt/' ",RDINO - REQUEST r'""')R COUNCIL ACTION STAFF REPORT IVDA has requested that we have Central Avenue improved, from Tippecanoe Avenue to Mt. View Avenue, in order to provide direct access to the Palm Meadows (Norton) Golf Course. Plans for this improvement have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and the project is ready to be advertised for bids. Below is an estimate of the total project cost. Construction Contract Engineering & Insp. (W.O. #1495) Sub"Total Contingencies (15%)! TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 109,200 _.lh~00 $ 130,200 19,500 $ 149,700 Purchase Order No. IV-OOl has been issued by the IVDA for the Engineering and Inspection costs. The IVDA Board has granted authorization for the Ci tv to proceed with construction of this project. All costs incurred by the City will be reimbursed by IVDA. We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization granted to advertise for bids. URGENCY CLAUSE: Central Avenue is presently the main access to the Palm Meadows Golf Course; even though it is unpaved. The improvement of Central Avenue needs to be completed prior to the rainy season, in order to ensure that access can be maintained during periods of inclement weather. 7-28-94 75.0264
