RESOLU'tI01I OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO ACKNbWLEDGING THE
RECEIPT OF A ttEsol.UTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
SAN a....,tNb, Alt!>ROVING AN INITIAL STUDY AND APPROVING THE CON-
S!DI!:RATION or A N~TIW DECLARATION.
WHEREAs, by Resolution No. 3441, adopted September 22,
1977, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino (the
"Agency") recommended the merger of the Meadowbrook Project No. 1
and the Central City Project No.1 for financial purposes into the
Meadowbrook-Central City Project No.1; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council have received from
the Agency its Resolution entitled:
"Resolution of the Redevelopment Agency of the City
of san Bernardino Approving an Initial Study,
Directing the preparation of a Negative Declaration
and Directing that Certain Transmittals Be Made";
and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council have received and
considered an Initial study, prepared by the Staff of the Agency,
of the environmental impact of the merger of said Projects for
financial purposes into the Meadowbrook-Central City Project No.
1; and
WHEREAS, said Initial Study indicates that the merger of
the Meadowbrook Project No. 1 and the Central City Project No.1
for ~inancial purposes into the Meadowbrook-Central City Project
No. 1 will not have a significant effect on the environment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF lAB. BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Daitial Study, attached hereto as Exhibit
"A", which has been received and considered by the Mayor and

Common Council is hereby approved.

SECTION 2. The city's Staff is hereby authorized and

directed to consult with the Agency's Staff in the preparation of
a Negative Declaration for the merger for financial purposes, of

the Meadowbrook Project No. 1 and the Central City Project No. 1
into the Meadowbrook-Central City Project No.1
SECTION 3. The Mayor and Common Council hereby consent to

8 consideration of said Negative Declaration by the Agency and
9 Mayor and Common Council at the joint public hearing scheduled for
10 November 7, 1977.

SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to transmit a copy of the Resolution to the Agency.

IV. DETERMINATION
On the basis of this initial evaluation:
x I find the proposed project COULD NOT have a significant effect on the
envi1"onment, and a NEGATIVE DECLARATION will be prepared.
I find that although. the proposed project could have a significant
effect on the environment, there will not be a significant effect in this
case because the mitigation measures described on an attached sheet
have been added to the project. a NEGATIVE DECLARATION WILL BE
PREPARED.
I find the proposed project MAY have a significant effect on the envir-
onment, and an ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT is required.
