Recommended motion:
That the plans for modification of the traffic signals at Medical
Center Drive and 19th Street, in accordance with Plan No. 7641, be
approved; and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer authorized
to advertise for bids.

CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Plans for the modification of the traffic signals at
Medical Center Drive and 19th Street have been prepared by a
Consulting Engineer, employed by Community Hospital, and the
project is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists
of replacing some of the standards to match the new driveway and
upgrade the signal equipment.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:
Construction Contract $ 60,000
Engineering & Inspection (W.O # 3,000
Sub-Total $ 63,000
Contingencies (10%) 6,300
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 69,300
An amount of $70,000 has been included in the proposed
budget for CDBG Funds. These funds will be submitted to the
Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee for review, and
then to the Mayor and Council for approval of the meeting on 10-
16-89.
At their meeting of 9-21-89, the Environmental Review
Committee found that this project was categorically exempt from
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act.
We recommend that the plans be approved and authorization
granted to advertise for bids.
