2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BEBNAll.DINO GIVING NOTICE INVITING
COMPETITIVE BIDS FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PlWPERTY OWNED BY SAID CITY,
3 GENERALLY LOCATED AT 269 SOUTH Hr. VERNON AVENUE IN SAID CITY; AND ESTABLISH-
ING A MINIMUM SALE PRICE FOR SAID PROPERTY.

WHEREAS, The City of San Bernardino, a municipal corporation, is
the owner of the hereinafter described parcel of resl property situated in
the City of San Bernardino, State of California; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and CODlDlOn Council of the City of San Bernardino
find and determine that there is no further need or necessity for the use of
said real property; and
WHEREAS, The Mayor and CoDlDlOn Council of the City of San Bernardino
believe it to be in the best interest of the said City that said parcel of
resl property be sold at the highest price obtainable in the open market,
NOW THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNAll.DINO DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Notice is hereby given inviting competitive bid pro-
posals for the sale of the following real property, more particularly des-
cribed in and subject to the terms of Specifications No. 4859 on file in the
Office of the Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Real Property Section,
City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California, and generally
described as follows:
"An irregular shaped rectangular parcel of land totalling
approximately 11,500 square feet containing an old fire
station building of approximately 2986 square feet and
located at 269 South Mt. Vernon Avenue in the City of
San Bernardino."
SECTION 2. The minimum acceptable bid for said real property to
be sold by said City is established as follows:
$20,500.00
SECTION 3. Each competitive bid or proposal shall be delivered to
the Office of the City Administrator, City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San

1 Bernardino, California, on or before the hour of 2:00 p.m., Friday,
2 October 7,. 1977, at which time said sealed bids or proposals shall be
3 opened and publicly declared. The highest of said bids or proposals shall be
4 submitted to the Mayor and Common Council at the hour or 2:00 p.m., at the
5 Council Chambers, City Hall, 300 North "D" Street, San Bernardino, California
6 at their next regularly scheduled meeting being Monday, October 17, 1977, at
7 which time said Mayor and Common Council may receive oral bids, in $250.00
8 increments, provided that the initial oral bid shall be an amount not less
9 than the highest written bid plus $250.00 and accompanied by cash or check in
10 an amount of $2,500.00, non-refundable; and oral bidding shall be continued
11 in the same manner and bids received orally until all bidding shall have
12 been completed.

SECTION 4. Attention of bidders is directed to "Description of
Property, Requirements of Bidders, Requirements of Sale and the Official Bid
Form" which may be obtained at the office of the Director of Public Works!
City Engineer, Real Property Section, Room 405, City Hall, 300 North "D"
Street, San Bernardino, California.
SECTION 5. All written bids or proposals shall be signed, sealed
and delivered. No bid proposal which fails to contain a SUlll equal to or
greater than the minimum acceptable bid price established herein or which
is filed at a later time or at a different place or with a different person
than required shall be valid or considered for award unless there is sub-
stantia1 compliance herewith as determined by the City Administrator in hia
sole discretion; and the Mayor and Common Council reserve the right to re-
ject any or all bid proposals for any reason.
SECTION 6. This resolution shall be posted on or near the door
of the Council Chamber, City Hall, San Bernardino, California and shall be
published not less than once at least 10 days prior to the date for filing

bid proposals with the City Administrator in the Real Estate Section of the
San Bernardino Sun Telegram, a newspaper of general circulation published
and circulated in said City.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted
by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino at
