RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BElUIIARDINO AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE WITH HOME OF NEIGHBORLY
SERVICE PROVIDING FOR A MORE DETAILED LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE
LEASED PREMISES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
5 OF SAN BElUIIARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of San Bernardino is
7 authorized and directed to execute on behalf of said City a
8 First Amendment to Lease with Home of Neighborly Service provid-
9 ing for a more detailed 1e9a1 description of the leased premises,
10 a copy of which is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "All and
11 incorporated herein by reference as fully as though set forth at
12 length.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE
(basketball court)
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE is made and entered into
this rP-ol!l day of ~, 1977 by and between the
HOME OF NEIGHBORLY SERVItk, a non-profit corporation, hereinafter
called "Lessor-, and the CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, a municipal
corporation, hereinafter called "Lessee".
WIT N ! SSE T H:
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee entered into a lease on May 21,
1973 relating to the lease of the basketball court and adjoining
parking facilities at 839 Mount Vernon Avenue1 and
WHEREAS, Lessor and Lessee now desire to amend said lease
to set forth a more detailed legal description,
NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed between the parties
as follows:
1. The first paragraph of that prior lease dated May 21,
1973 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"That LESSOR hereby leases to LESSEE, and LESSEE hires
from LESSOR, for the purpose of conducting public community
activities and recreational programs thereon and for no other
purpose, the basketball court and adjoining parking facilities on
those certain premises at 839 Mount Vernon Avenue, situated south
of Union and west of Ninth Street Park in the City of San
Bernardino, County of San Bernardino, State of California, and
more particularly described as follows:
Those portions of Lots 20, 21, 22 and 23, Tract No.
1811, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 26 of
Maps, page 4, records of the County Recorder of San
Bernardino County, State of California, described
as follows:

Beginning at a point in the north line of said Lot 22,
said point being east thereon, a distance of 70.75
feet from the northwest corner of said Lot; thence
east along the north line of said Lots 22, 21, and 20,
a distance of 100.00 feet to a point whieh is 1.65
feet east of the northwest corner of said Lot 20;
thence south and parallel with the west line of said
Lot 20, a distance of 78.50 feet; thence west and
parallel to the north line of said Lots 20, 21, and
22, a distance of 100.00 feet; thence north and
parallel with the west line of said Lots 22 and 23,
a distance of 78.50 feet to the Point of Beginning."
2. All other terms, conditions and covenants of said
lease shall remain the same and be in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this
First Amendment to Lease on the date first hereinabove written.
