GENERAL PREVAILING RATES OF WAGES FOR PUBLIC PROJECTS OF SAID

4 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1. That under and pursuant to Section 1770 of
the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of
Industrial Relations of the State of California has determined

the general prevailing rates of per diem wages in the City of San
Bernardino for each craft or type of workman or mechanic: and
the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino do
make said rates applicable to contracts for public projects
of said City, and do hereby find that the attached document,
marked Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference as fully
as though set forth at length, contains such general prevailing
rates of per diem wages for each craft and type of workman and
mechanic; to wit:
Exhibit "A", "General Prevailing Wage Determination made
by the Director of Industrial Relations", filed June 1, 1977,
in the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 2. The provisions of this resolution are
applicable to contracts awarded by the Mayor and Common Council
of the City of San Bernardino for the construction of public
projects, except maintenance work.

All operators and oilers on equipment with booms of 80 to 100 fe~t, including jib
and pile driving rigs with hammer leads of 80 to 100 feet, shall rece~ve 15~ per hour .

(45~) per hour in addition to the regular rate and this shall become the base rate for
the entire shift. (Long boom pay does not apply).
3. Operators on hoists with three drums shall receive fifteen cents (15~) per hour
additior,al pay to the regular rate of pay. For each additional drum, he shall receive
an additional fifteen cents (15~) per hour. The additional pay shall be added to the
regular rate and become the base rate for the entire shift.
4. Operators operatinG equipment with the push-pull system shall receive an
additional fifty cents (50~) per hour in addition to the regular rate and thic shall
become the base rate for the entire shift.
5. Operators operating equipment with the tandem push-pull system shall receive
an additional one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour in addition to the regular rate
and this shall become the base rate for the entire shift.
6. Operators of crawler type tractors in tandem (quad 9 and similar type) shall
receive an additional fifty cents (50~) per hour in addition to the regular rate and
this shall become the base rate for the entire shift.

When a head leverman is used on a dredge, his straight-time rate of pay shall
be increased 50~ per hour over the leverman rate.
When 3 or more welders (exclusive of any working on land) are employed on the
same shift on a dredge and/or work barge, one of them shall be designated as
leaderman welder and shall receive 50~ per hour over the welder rate.
When automatic or semi-automatic welders are in use, the employee performing
such welding shall receive $1.00 per hour over and above the regular rate

job a man from the preferred classification shall be employed to service and
maintain all of the auxiliary equipment up to 9 units and shall receive 10~
per hour per each unit over 5. When over 9 auxiliary units are on the job
an additional preferred man shall be employed.
Operators on tractors with boom attachments and/or hydro cranes or stinger
cranes with booms in excess of 40 feet shall receive 2~ per hour for each
foot or portion thereof over 40 feet, which shall be in addition to regular
rate of pay and become the base rate for the entire day or shift.
