HomeMy WebLinkAbout12789 !I " ., I 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. /~ 7/,:7 I RESOLUTION OF THE CIT1/' OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTIO NO. 6433 ENTITLED IN PART "A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING POSITIONS FOR THE VARIOUS DEPARTMEN'J.'S . . ."; DELETING ALL REFERENCE TO THE TRANSIT DEPARTMENT; CHANGING CERTAIN TITLES TO REFLECT THE REORGANIZATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMEN'.r AND CERTAIN DIVISIONS THEREOF; AND DELETING CERTAIN POLICE PERSONNEL AND CO~ICAT:tONS DEPARTMENT EMPL01/'EES FROM UNIFORM ALLOWANCE PROVISIONS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARD:tNO AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Resolution No. 6433 Section Twelve Subsection (a) is hereby amended to read as follows: "(a) The City shall provide a tool replacement allowance for lost or damaged tools in an amount not to exceed fifty dollars ($50.00) per year per employee in any of the following position classifications: (1) Central Garage Division: Mechanics and Servicemen; (2) Electrical Division: Electricians I and II, Apprentices and Linemen; (3) Park and Recreation Department: Plumbers, Construction and Maintenance Personnel; provided that all tools are adequately marked and inventoried and a report of inventory filed with the department head and are maintained under reasonable and adequate security. Tools lost or damaged through no fault of the employee will be re- placed by the employee and reimbursement therefor will be made by the City after submission of an appropriate City form accompanied by an approved invoice or receipt. Forms shall be submitted semi-annually in June and December or upon termination of the employee from City service 'for any reason. Damaged tools which are replaced through reimbursement by the City shall be turned in to the department head and shall become the property of the City." .' -- 1 SECTION 2. Resolution No. 6433 Section Twelve Subsection 2 (b) is hereby amended to read as follows: 3 "(b) The City shall provide uniforms for the following position classifications: (1) Central Garage Division: Equipmerlt i i Mechanic Foreman, Equipment Mechanic, Senior Mechanic, Welder, i i 4 5 6 Auto Body Repairman, Auto Body Repairman Helper, and Mechanic 7 Helper; (2) Street Division: eight employees assigned to 8 Sewer Maintenance, Skilled Laborer (Street Barricade); (3) 9 Elec~ical Division: Lineman, Apprentice Electrician, 10 Electrician I and Electrician II; (4) Cemetery: Laborer; 11 (5) Cen~al Communications: Maintenance personnel; (6) Public 12 Buildings Division: Custodians and Building Maintenance 13 personnel. 14 The City shall provide a cash allowance of $105.00 per 15 person at the start of each fiscal year for uniforms as prescribe . .- 16 by the City to be paid to Animal Control Technicians of the 17 Animal Con~ol Department. 18 The City shall provide appropriate rain gear for Refuse 19 Operators, Cemetery personnel, Animal Control Technicians, and 20 those personnel in the Street and Electrical Divisions and Park 21 and Recreation Department who are assigned to work in inclement 22 weather. There will be kept in Central Stores six sets of 23 rain gear to be made available on loan as needed to employees 24 in the Central Garage and Engineering Division." 25 SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective on 26 , 1977.
