2. PROPOSED ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO EXCEPTIONS FROM THE
PROHIBITION AGAINST UNLAWFUL NOISES WITHIN THE CITY The
Committee continued this item to September 22, 1988 to permit
the City Attorney to further research the vague and ambiguous
content of the ordinance to assure that it is enforceable.
The Committee agreed that there should be an enforceable
ordinance to address unlawful noises until such time that an
ordinance can be drafted to meet a standard established
pursuant to the General Plan Update EIR noise element.
3. ORDINANCE TO LIMIT CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS - This
item continued to September 22, 1988.
4. DISCUSSION REGARDING CITY'S DEMOLITION POLICY - The
Director of Building and Safety advised the Committee that
the current demolition policy in the municipal codes ade-
quately addresses the abatement and demolition of dangerous
and unsafe buildings. The Committee was also advised that
the department has established procedures and a mechanism
pursuant to municipal codes by which to enforce this policy.
