CIl . OF SAN BERNARDI"-O - REQUI:-T FOR COUNCIL AC-: ~N
STAFF REPORT
The Animal Control Department has untilized the services of Mr. Bill Freeman
to apprehend large and medium livestock for the past eight years, as the
department does not own a stock trailer. He readily responds to our request
for service at any hour. Since his fees were raised to $35.00 per call, we
are requesting our apprehension fees be increased to $50.00 to cover his cost
to us and our service by the Animal Control Officer. The Animal Control
Officer must stand-by with the livestock until Mr. Freeman arrives and accompany
him to the shelter. During this time, the Officer's other calls for service
have to be held in abeyance until the livestock is impounded.
