Recommended motion:
That the plans for rehabilitation of pavement on
Hospitality Lane, from Waterman Avenue to Gage Canal,
in accordance with Plan No. 7548, be approved; and the
Director of Public Works/City Engineer authorized to
advertise for bids.

STAFF REPORT
Plans for the rehabilitation of pavement on Hospitality
Lane have been prepared by the Engineering Division, and the proj-
ect is ready to be advertised for bids. The project consists of
repairing the failed areas, and placing the final It inches of
pavement on Hospitality Lane, from Waterman Avenue to Gage Canal.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost.
Construction Contract $ 149,396
Engineering & Inspection (W.O. #1496) 5,70D
Sub-Total $ 155,096
Contingencies (15%):t 23,904
TOTAL ESTIMATED PROJECT COST $ 179,000
,~~ amount of $772,440 has been set aside under Account
No. 242~~-57366, to finance the items of work required to com-
plete construction, such as placing the final Ii inches of
asphalt concrete on the street and landscaping. The amount of
funds designated for placing additional thickness of pavement
is $300,000.
At their meeting of 8-25-88, the Environmental Review
Committee determined that the project is not subject to provisions
of the California Environmental Quality Act.
