STAFF REPORT
Previously, the Mayor and Common Council approved in concept a rental
assistance program fund for eligible mobilehome part tenants and directed
staff and the Mobilehome Park M Hoc Committee to fully develop the program
and report back to Council. While considering the financial assistance
conponent of the program, the Mobilehome Park M Hoc Committee requested
staff to prepare a communications conponent to the City's Mobilehome Park
Assistance Program. This was accomplished and the communications conponent
was approved by both the conunittee and the Common Council.
As a part of the capitalization of the Mobilehome Park Rental Assistance
Program fund at $50,000, the Mayor and Common Council previously agreed to
contribute $10,000 in general fund revenues to the fund. since that time,
staff has identified the established amount in the City's Rental
Rehabilitation Program Income fund, obviating the need for a general fund
contribution. The use of RRP funds for this purpose is allowed under the
federal regulations.
I recommend adoption of the form motion.
