Synopsis of Previous Council action:
The Mayor an::l Cammon Council have previously approved an interim rent =ntrol
ordinance, authorized a survey of ll'Obilehome parks throughout the City an::l
directed staff to develop a rental assistance program.
Recommended motion:
That the Mayor an::l Cammon Council accept a check for $40,000 fram San Bernardino
Mobilehome Park OWners Association as the park owners =ntribution to the City
Mobilehome Park Rental Assistance Program.

STAFF REPORT
At the =nclusion of a series of public hearin:Js endin;J in May, 1988,
the Mayor arrl Comm::m Council directed staff to develop a nobilehare park
rental assistance program. 0lrin:J meetings =nducted by the Mobilehare
Park Ad H= Conunittee it was agreed that the city arrl park owners would
put forth efforts to capitalize the proposed funj in the arrount of
$50,000. The City's share is $10,000, with, with owners' share set at
$40,000. In addition to the financial assistance program, the
Mobilehome Park Ad H= Conunittee recammerrled to the Mayor arrl Conunon
Council that a Mobilehome Park Communications Team be established in
conjunction with the rental assistance program. 'Ihe Communications Team
has been established, with the Mayor expected to appoint one of her
immediate staff to the Team.
'Ihe San Bernardino Park OWners Ass=iation has raised its share of the
all'Dunt needed to capitalize the Rental Assistance Program ($40,000). 'Ihe
funds have been placed in esc:row with First A1rerican Title arrl will be
disbursed in a=rdance with appropriate instructions arrl the provisions
of the agreerrent between the City arrl the County Community Services
Deparbnent. 'Ihe San Bernardino Park OWners Ass=iation wish to give to
the Mayor arrl Conunon Council a check for $40,000 as its share of the
City Mobilehare Park Rental Assistance Program Fund.
