A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY.
,
OF SAN BERNARDINO CREATING AND ESTABLISHING A FUND TO BE CALLED
"EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT FUND."
WHEREAS, the people of San Bernardino did duly and regu-
larly emend the Charter of the City of San Bernardino providing
for the partioipation of said City of San Bernardino and the
employees thereof in the State Employees' Retirement System, and
further, that the Mayor and Common Counoil should eaoh year levy
the tax to meet the obligatioIlS of the City to said State Employees
Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, it is advantageous to said City that
said money~

so reoeived from the levying of said taxes or otherwise shall be
plaoed in a speoial fund so as to seggregate said money from any
and all other moneys held by said City.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO lIB FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: That the City Treasurer of the City of San I

Bernardino is hereby direoted to establish and oreate a fund to bel
oalled "Employees' Retirement Fund". into which said fund all
moneys reoeived by the City of San Bernardino by taxation, or other-
wise, to meet the obligations of the City to the State Employees'
Retirement System. shall be deposited.
SECTION TWO: That said fund so deposited shall be held
in said fund subjeot to withdrawal upon the order of the Mayor and
Common Counoil for the purpose of meeting the obligations of the

City to the State Employees' Retirement System, only.
SECTION THREE: That in the event that any oontract so
entered into by virtue of said Section 234a of the City Charter
of the City of San Bernardino shall be terminated in aocordance
therewith and there remains any balanoe on hand in said fund after
the payment of all obligations of the City to the State Employees'

Retirement System, then and in that event said balanoe may be
transferred by order of the Mayor and Common Counoil to the General
Fund of the City of San Bernardino.
