J/ 7.2> A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO BE FILED FOR A WATER RE- CLAMATION DEMONSTRATION PROJECT TO THE DIVISION OF WATER SUPPLY AND POLLUTION CONTROL, UNITED STATES PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE. WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Health Service under the Department of Public Health, Education and Welfare, the United States of America has authorized the making of Demonstration Project Grants to demonstrate the feasibility of new methods for control and prevention of water pollution; and WHEREAS, General Marine Technology Corporation of San Bernardino has developed a project for demonstrating a new method of utilizing water effluent; and WHEREAS, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the regulations effectuat- ing that Title provide that no person shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in the undertaking and carrying out of projects receiving Federal 16 financial assistance; and 17 18 WHEREAS, the City of San Bernardino is interested in supporting and promoting 19 20 21 efforts to demonstrate new methods of control and preventing water pollution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: 22 23 SECTION ONE: that Al C.
