A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO DESIGNATING A CERTAIN DESCRIBED AREA AS A BLIGHTED
1 AREA AND FINDING THAT SAID AREA REQUIRES STUDY TO DETERMINE IF A
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT IS FEASIBLE.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and COIllIlon Council of the City of San Bernar

dino have found that it is necessary and in the public interest
4
that the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Bernardino, Calif-

ornia, avail itself of the financial assistance provided by Title 1
6
of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, to assist local clearance,
and urban redevelopment projects and that it is necessary that sur-
veys be made and other activities be performed preparatory to under
taking such projects; and
WHEREAS, the provisions of Sections 33480 and 33481 of the
Community Redevelopment Law of the State of California require that
designation of redevelopment areas be by resolution of the legis-
lative body; and
WHEREAS, there are blighted areas within the City of San Bernar
dino requiring redevelopment and requiring preliminary studies to
determine the feasibility of particular redevelopment projects;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council
of the City of San Bernardino as follows:
SECTION ONE: That the redevelopment area hereinafter designated
and described is a blighted area, the redevelopment of which is re-
quired to effectuate the purposes declared in the California Commun
ity Redevelopment Law, Division 24, Part 1 of the Health and Safety
Code of the State of California.
SECTION TWO: That said area requires study to determine if a
redevelopment project or projects within said area are feasible.
SECTION THREE: That the following described area within the
City of San Bernardino, California, is hereby designated as re-
development area No.2:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Rialto Avenue and
E Street, said corner being on the boundary of the Meadowbrook
Project Area No.1, Calif. R-10; thence westerly along the south
line of Rialto Avenue to a point 110 feet more or less westerly of
the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of H Street;

1 thence at right angles north across Rlalto Avenue to the Intersection of the
2 north line of said Rlalto Avenue with the easterly rlght-of-wey line of State
S Route VIII-43 (Fre.w.y - U.S. 395); thence along saJd State right-of-way first
4 North 40 241 II" east a distance of 240.51 feet; thence north 00 35' 15" east a
5 distance of 308.61 feet; thence northeasterly along a tangent curve having a
6 radius of 50 feet, a distance of 77.63 feet to the south line of 2nd Street;
7 thence east along said south line a distance of 33.18 feet to the southwest
8 corner of 2nd and H Streets; thence n~rtherly In a direct line to the south-
9 easterly corner of Lot 15 In Block 9 of Water's Subdivision, per Hap recorded In
10 Book 6 of Haps, Page 47, records of San Bernardino County; thence along the
