(f'f'2- 2 I A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNAR- IDINO PROPOSING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY HEREINAFTER 3 ,DESIGNATED AS THE 15 7TH ANNEXATION DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO. 4 : WHEREAS, and heretofore, there has been presented to the Mayor and I I 5 !Common Council of the City of San Bernardino a written petition containing a , 6 I description of certain territory which is hereinafter more specifically 7 described, and said petition requested that said territory be annexed to and 8 I included in the City of San Bernardino in accordance with the provisions of 9 : the "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939" as contained in 10 Government Code, Section 35300, et seq.; and 11 WHEREAS, the Common Council has made a complete investigation and 12 report in reference thereto. 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND 14 COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS. 15 SECTION ONE: That a written petition containing a description of 16 , certain uninhabited territory hereinafter more specifically described has been 17 presented to the Common Council of the City of San Bernardino. 18 SECTION TWO: That said petition contains a description of certain 19 uninhabited territory sought to be included in the City of San Bernardino, and 20 that a petition is signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth of the 21 assessed value of said territory according to the last preceding equalized 22 assessment roll of the County of San Bernardino, in which said County the City 23 of San Bernardino is situated. 24 SECTION THREE: That notice is therefore hereby given of the proposed 25 annexation to the City of San Bernardino of the uninhabited territory contiguous 26 to the City of San Bernardino, the boundaries of which are particularly 27 described as follows, to wit: 28 Those portions of Lot 4, Block 65, those portions of Lots 1 and 11, Block 54, those portions of Lots 7 and 8, Block 72, all in Rancho San Bernardino, as per plat thereof recorded in Book 7 of Maps, page 2, records of the County Recorder of San Bernardino County, described as follows: 29 30 31 Beginning at the intersection of the North line of Colton Avenue, 82.50 feet wide, with the Present Corporate City Limit line of the City of San Bernardino, said point also 32 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 ! 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 ,. 32 being the Southeast corner of the property conveyed to Rose M. Lambert and designated as Parcel No. 4 in deed recorded January 7, 1959, in Book 4695, page 550, Official Records of said County; thence North along said City Limit line to its intersection with the center line of Frontage Road, known as Rosewood Drive, 60.00 feet wide; thence East along the center line of said Rosewood Drive to a point which is 659.20 feet West of the West line of Waterman Avenue, 82.50 feet wide, said west line being also the East line of said Lot 1, Block 54; thence North along a line parallel with the said West line of Waterman Avenue, being also the West line of the property conveyed to Robert N. Moodey and Evelyn C. Moodey, et al., by deed recorded November 9, 1962, in Book 5799, page 87, Official Records of said County, and its Northerly prolongation to the North line of said Lot 11, Block 54; thence East along the North line of said Lot 11, Block 54, and its Easterly prolongation to its intersection with the centerline of said Waterman Avenue; thence South along the centerline of said Waterman Avenue to a point which is 793.49 feet North of the North line of said Colton Avenue; thence East a distance of 41.25 feet to the East line of said Waterman Avenue, said point being at the intersection of the Northerly line of State Highway No. 99, known as Route 26, as shown on page 3A of the Official Right-of-way Map of the State of California Division of Highways designated as VIII-SBd-26A; thence North 880 45' 36" East along said Northerly line a distance of 7.22 feet; thence continuing along said Northerly line of said State Highway No. 99, the following courses and distances; thence South Ollo 22' 14" East, 80.96 feet; thence along a curve, concave to the Northeast, having a radius of 100.00 feet through a central angle of 67" 27' 58" a distance of 117.75 feet; thence South 760 50' 12" East a distance of 272.82 feet; thence South 780 14' 53" East a distance of 713.09 feet to its intersection with the South- westerly line of the San Timoteo Creek as shown on said Map; thence leaving the said Northerly line of said State Highway No. 99, South 560 32' 06" East along the said Southwesterly line of the San Timoteo Creek a distance of 536.54 feet to its intersection with the South line of said State Highway No. 99; thence South 890 17' 54~ West along said South line a distance of 236.64 feet; thence continuing along said South line North 870 19' 22" West a distance of 432.30 feet; thence along a curve concave to the Southeast, having a radius of 300.00 feet through a central angle of 290 02' 57" a distance of 152.10 feet; thence South 630 37' 41" West a distance of 242.61 feet to the North line of said Colton Avenue; thence South parallel with the centerline of said Waterman Avenue a distance of 41.25 feet to the centerline of said Colton Avenue; thence West along said centerline of Colton Avenue a distance of 505.39 feet more or less to the centerline of said Waterman Avenue; thence South along said centerline of Waterman Avenue a distance of 571.25 feet more or less to the centerline of Caroline Street, 60.00 feet wide; thence West along said centerline of Caroline Street, a distance of 153.75 feet to the end thereof; thence South a distance of 30.00 feet to the North line of the property conveyed to William de Yong and Helen de Yong, husband and wife, by deed recorded February 14, 1952, in Book 2897, page 44, Official Records of said County; thence West along said de Yong property a distance of 1061.48 feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner thereof; thence ~outh parallel with the - 2 - I 1 I I 2 , 3 II " 4 ! i I 5 I , ! 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 East line of said Lot 4, Block 65, and along the West line of said de Yong property a distance of 506.90 feet, more or less, to a point which is 210.00 feet North of the South line of the North one-half of said Lot 4, Block 65; thence West, parallel with and 210.00 feet Northerly of said South line of the North one-half of said Lot 4, Block 65 to its intersection with the Easterly line of the property conveyed to William Arthur Pearson, et al., by deed recorded September 19, 1955, in Book 3740, page 257, Official Records of said County; thence Northerly along said Easterly line and its Northerly prolongation and along said City Limit line to the North line of said Colton Avenue, 82.50 feet wide; thence Easterly along said North line and along said City Limit line to the point of beginning. That there are less than twelve qualified electors residing in said territory and that said territory is uninhabited as defined by said Act, and that said territory is contiguous with the City of San Bernardino. That the aforementioned uninhaibted territory included in the proposed annexation shall hereafter be generally known and identified as Annexation District No. 15]. SECTION FOUR: That upon the completion of said annexation of said territory, all of the property included in said Annexation District No. 157 shall be taxed equally with the other property within the City of San Bernardino to pay the bonded indebtedness and any and all general indebtedness of the City of San Bernardino contracted prior to or existing or outstanding at the time of the aforesaid proposed annexation of said described property as provided in said Act.
