STREET AS SIIO\VN ON PLAN NO. 2788, IN THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernar-
dino, by Ordinance No. 2063, adopted May 16, 1955, established a
procedure for finding and determining whether the public convenience
and necessity require certain improvements or acquisition of property,
and authorizing notices and hearings to be combined and held concurr~
ently with the hearing required by the improvement act pursuant to
which the improvement proceeding is proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That pursuant to Ordinance No. 2063, said Mayor and
Common Council hereby elect to combine the hearing required therein
with the hearing required by Section 5132 of the Streets and High-
ways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 2. That it is the intention of said Mayor and Common
Council to order the improvement of portions of the South side of
Seventh Street between a point approximately 140.00 feet East of the
East line of Garcia Street to a point approximately 160.00 feet West
of the West line of Garcia Street; portions of Turrill Avenue between
the North line of Reece Street to a point approximately 313.75 feet
North of the center line of Thirteenth street; the North side of
Twenty-seventh Street between the West line of Mt. Vernon Avenue to
a point approximately 439.09 feet West of Mt. Vernon Avenue; Magnolia
Avenue between the East line of "W' Street to a point approximately
174.00 feet East of "H" Street; portions of Sixteenth Street between
the center line of Mt. Vernon Avenue to a point approximately 103.60
feet East of the East line of Harris Street; portions of IJeridian
Avenue between the North line of IJill Street to the South line of
Poplar Street, as shown on Plan No. 2788, in said City, in the follow-
ing manner, to witl
Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters and plant-mixed
surfacing shall be constructed in portions of the South
side of Seventh Street between a point approximately
140.00 feet East of the East line of Garcia Street to a
point approximately 160.00 feet West of the West line of
Garcia Street; portions of Turrill Avenue between the North
line of Reece Street to a point approximately 313.75 feet
North of the center line of Thirteenth Street; the North
side of Twenty-seventh Street between the West line of
Mt. Vernon Avenue to a point approximately 439.09 feet West
of Mt. Vernon Avenue; Magnolia Avenue between the East line
of "H" Street to a point approXimately 174.00 feet East of
"W' Street; portions of Sixteenth Street between the center-
line of Mt. Vernon Avenue to a point approximately 103.60
feet East of the East line of Harris Street; portions of
Meridian ~enue between the North line of Mill Street to
the South tine of Poplar Street, as shown on Plan No. 2788.
Reference is hereby made to Drawing No. 2788 and any supple-
mental drawings mentioned thereon, on file in the office of the City
Engineer of said City, and to Specifications No. 2271, on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City, for a full and detailed des-
cription of the said proposed work and improvement, the particular
locations thereof, and the lines upon which, and grades to which, it
shall be done; provided that where lines or grades therefor, or for
any portion thereof, are not shown by, or set forth upon, such draw-
ings, said proposed work and improvement shall be done upon the
official lines and to the official grades therefor.
SECTION 3. That said contemplated work and improvement is of
more than local or ordinary public benefit, and that said Mayor and
Common Council do hereby make the expense of such work and improve-
ment chargeable upon a district, which district is hereby declared
to be the district benefited by said proposed work and improvement,

and to be assessed to pay the cost and expense thereof, and which
district embraces all that real property situate in the City of San
Bernardino, County of San Bernardino, State of California, as out-
lined in red on District Map No. 2788 A.D., on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said City. All public streets or alleys, or por-
tions thereof, hereby are excepted from said district.
SECTION 4. That serial bonds extending over a period of nine
years from the second day of January next succeeding the next September
1st following their date, and bearing interest at the rate of six per
cent per annum, payable semi-annually, shall be issued as provided
by the Improvement Act of 1911 to represent assessments of Fifty
Dollars or over for the cost of said proposed work and improvement,
remaining unpaid for thirty days after the date of the warrant.
SECTION 5. That The San Bernardino Eveneing Telegram, a daily
newspaper published and circulated in said City, is hereby designated
as the newspaper in which this Resolution of Intention, and all further
notices and resolutions relating to said work and improvement, shall
be published.
SECTION 6. That notice is hereby given that on September 3,

1963, at the hour of 9:30 A.M., in the Cou~cil Chamber, in the City
Hall, in said City, there shall be a public hearing before said
Mayor and Common Council for the pUrpose of determining whether the
public convenience and necessity require the above described improve-
ment, and at which time and place any and all persons having any
objections to such determination or to the proposed work or improve-
ment may appear and show cause why the Mayor and Common Council should
not find that the public convenience and necessity require the above
described improvement and why the said work or improvement should not
be carried out in accordance with this resolution.

SECTION 7. That said Mayor and Common Council, in making the
improvement, elects to proceed under and in accordance with the pro-
visions of the "Improvement Act of 1911", being Division 7 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
