A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYm~ AND COM]VION COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN BElt-
NlLqDINO AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTltuCTION OF PORTLAND CEMu~T
CONCRETE CURBS, GUTTERS, PLN~T-MIXED SURFACING, DRAINAGE FACILITIES
AND WORK APPURTENANT THERETO IN PORTIONS OF FORTIETH STREET BETWEEN
SIERRA WAY AND WATERMAN AVENUE; THE NORTH SIDE OF T'ilENTY-FIRST STltEET
BETWEEN A POINT APPROXIMATELY 140.00 FEET EAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF
KENWOOD AVEN1JE TO THE CENTEi\' LINE OF CRESTVIEW AVENUE; THE WEST SIDE
OF LUGO AVENUE BETWEEN FORTIETH STREET AND RALSTON AVENUE; SIERRA
ROAD BETWEEN FIFTY-SECOND STREET N1D FIFTY-FOURTH STREET, IN ACCORDANCE
'.'lITH RESOLUTION OF INTENTION, RESOLUTION NO. 6755.

WHEREAS-, the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San Bernardino
in open session on the 29th day of July, 1963, publicly did open,
examine, and declare, all sealed proposals or bids for doing the work
mentioned in Resolution of Intention, Resolution No. 6755 of said
Mayor and Common Council, declaring its intention to construct Portland
cement concrete curbs, gutters, plant-mixed surfacing, drainage
facilities and work appurtenant thereto in portions of Fortieth Street
between Sierra Way and Waterman Avenue; the North side of Twenty-first
Street between a point approximately 140.00 feet East of the center
line of Kenwood Avenue to the center line of Crestview Avenue; the
West side of Lugo Avenue between Fortieth Street and Ralston Avenue;
Sierra Road between Fifty-second Street and Fifty-fourth Street.
Reference to said Resolution of Intention hereby is made for the
description of the work and the assessment district and for all further
particulars.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
BERNlL~DINO DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the said Mayor and Common Council hereby awards
the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit:
WENNER MARK COMPANY
pursuant to his bid dated July 29, 1963, on file in the office of
the City Clerk, at the price named in his bid and hereby rejects all
other proposals of bids for the doing of said work.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk hereby is directed to publish the
notice of this award twice in The San Bernardino Lveninq Telegram,
a newspaper published and circulated in the City of San Bernardino.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and thence forth and thereafter the same shall be
in full force and effect.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was passed by
the Mayor and Common Council of the City
