2 RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACTS OF THE SPECIAL
3 MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON THE 12TH DAY OF JULY 2011, DECLARING
4 THE RESULTS THEREOF AND SETTING FORTH SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS
ARE PROVIDED BY LAW.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election was held and conducted in the Second
Ward in the City of San Bernardino on the 12th day of July 2011; and

11 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly given in the time, form and
12 manner as provided by law; voting precincts were properly established; election officers were
13 appointed and in all respects said election was held and the returns made and declared in the
14
time, form, and manner as required by the provisions of the Charter of the City of San
15
Bernardino and the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of public
16

elections in the City of San Bernardino; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2011-62, adopted on March 7, 2011, the
19 Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardino canvassed the returns of said election and
20 has certified the results to this City Council and said results are received, attached and made a

part hereof as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of San Bernardino as follows:
Section I:
That pursuant to Resolution No. 2011-62, the Special Municipal Election was
26 conducted by all mail ballot.

6 Section 2: That said Special Municipal Election was held for the purpose of filling
7 the vacant Second Ward Council Seat.

Section 3:
That the grand total of all votes cast in said election was 1,582. That
the number of votes cast for the Second Ward election is listed on the attached Exhibit A.

Section 4:
That the City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council of
12 said City a statement of the results of the Special Municipal Election held on the 12th day of
13 July 20 II.

July 12, 2011
Pursuant to Election Code 15372, the San Bernardino County
Registrar of Voters today officially certified the results of the July 12,
2011 City of San Bernardino Special Municipal Election. The results
have been submitted to governing bodies for acceptance. Official
Results are available on the Registrar of Voters website at
www.sbcrov.com.
