Background On July 5, 2011, Ordinance MC-1355 amended San Bernardino Municipal Code Title 2, Section 2.15.020, and repealed Chapter 2.78 deleting the Code Compliance Department, and authorized the Director of Human Resources to recommend updates to the job descriptions to reflect the changes. Accordingly, job descriptions for positions within the Community Development Department, Code Enforcement Division, were reviewed and it was determined that minor revisions were needed to reflect the dissolution of the Code Compliance Department and the establishment of the Code Enforcement Division of the Community Development Department. The respective positions are: Code Enforcement Officer I, Code Enforcement Officer II, Code Enforcement Processing Assistant, Senior Code Enforcement Officer, Supervising Code Enforcement Officer, Weed Abatement Coordinator. The Human Resources Department is in agreement with the proposed changes and recommends approval. Financial Impact There is no financial impact to update job descriptions.
