OF SAN BERNARDI~~~ - REQUE~ I FOR COUNCIL AC1 )N STAFF REPORT The City of San Bernardino has been allocated $245.651 of Article 8 funds for the 1988-89 fiscal year for the use by the City of San Bernardino for. Street Cc:mstruction Fund purposes. The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) requires a resolution or minute order to request such funds. In prior years approval was also needed by SCAG to release Omni- tran's share of Article 8 funds. This requirement is no longer the case. Omnitrans now receives their share directly from SCAG. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized 7 8 9 and directed to submit a claim of $245,651.00 to Southern California Association of Governments (S.C.A.G.) for construction of local streets and roads pursuant to Article 8 of SB-325 of 1972, also known as the Transportation Development Act, and, in particular, under Public Utilities Code Section 99400(a).
