STAFF REPORT
A request was received to vacate that ceratin East/West alley South of Baseline
Street, between Sepulveda Avenue and Wall Avenue, from several of the property owners
thilt adjoin the subject area, representing 75 '.l. of those owners who adjoin thl~ alley.
The petitioners have deposited the required $200.00, which represents one-half of
the total fee of 5400.00. The remaining $200.00 will be due after the
investigativ~ proceedings.
There hd\'C been several incidences of crime in this area. The property owners feel
that access to this alley has been a contributing factor to these crimes, and is the
basis for thd r request.
As part of the proceedings, all interested City departments and utility companies,
<1,long with those adjoining property owners not a part of the petition, will be
notified in regards to this proposal and will be given an opportunity for comments and
recommcnrlati nile;.
It is recommended thdt thc~ City Clerk and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer
Of' ilutilOl"i zed to proceed with the proposed vacation.
