and $5,000 authorized for preparation of technical
studies.
Report entitled "Noise Assessment Study of Sprint

Negative Declaration adopted and authorization given

A price of $62,328.00 was included in the low bid for
Additive Alternate "A". The Colony Village development, at Barton
Road and Hunts Lane, improved a baseball field. This field has a
much higher lighting level than required. Therefore, the Parks
and Recreation Department has proposed that four of the eight
poles at Colony Village be removed and furnished to the Contractor
for Fiscalini Field. Removal of these poles and transporting them
to Fiscalini Field would be done by City Forces.
The Contractor has quoted a credit of $20,000, for the
City furnishing the four poles. Lighting fixtures would still be
furnished by the Contractor. We have checked the purchase price
for poles, and determined that the credit of $20,000 is fair and
reasonable. Inclusion of the four outfield poles, furnished by
the City, would increase the contract price by $42,328.00.
At the Council meeting of 11-07-88, the amount of $25,000
was reappropriated from Account No. 121-544-57597, "Handicapped
Ramps at Various Locations," and the approximate amount of $11,238
was appropriated from the CDBG Contingency Account, to finance the
cost for adding the four outfield poles to the contract.
Change Order No One will add Additive Alternate "A" to the
contract, at an increase in the cost of $62,328, and Change Order
No. Two will authorize a credit of $20,000 for the City furnishing
the four poles.
We recommend that Change Orders No. 1 & 2 be approved.
