Negative Declaration Adoption
Request: Adoption of Negative Declaration for Tentative
Tract No. 13619
Backqround
On May 5, 1988, the Environmental Review Committee reviewed
the Initial study for Tentative Tract No. 13619 and
recommended that a Negative Declaration for the project be
adopted.
On July 5, 1988, the Planning Commission, by a 7-2 vote,
conditionally approved Tentative Tract No. 13619. This tract
was a 21 lot subdivision in the Verdemont area located at the
southwestern corner of Verdemont Drive and Olive Avenue.
certain conditions of approval relating to infrastructure
elements were appealed by the applicant, Monnig Development,
Inc. At the appeal hearing of the Mayor and Common Council
held on August 15, 1988, the Mayor and Council deleted
Conditions Nos. 15, 37, 38 and 42. However, the adoption of
the recommended Negative Declaration for environmental review
was inadvertently left out of the motion by staff. Formal
adoption of the Negative Declaration needs to take place for
final processing of the environmental review for the tract.
Recommendation
That the Mayor and Council adopt the recommended Negative
Declaration for Tentative Tract No. 13619.
