Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10/24/88 -- Mayor and Council requested that a public hearing be
scheduled to consider the Interim land use designation
assigned to the area around Rialto Avenue and Walnut
Street.
Recommended motion:
That the Mayor and Council continue the hearing to their meeting of
December 19, 1988.

STAFF REPORT
Subject: Rialto Avenue/Walnut Street Interim Policy Document
Study
Mayor and Council Meeting of November 21, 1988
The Mayor and Council have requested that a public hearing be held
on November 21, 1988 to redesignate the area bounded by Rialto
Avenue, Walnut Street, Lytle Creek and the A.T. & S. F. Railroad.
Property owners in the area have raised concerns about the appro-
priateness of the RS (Residential Suburban) designation assigned to
a portion of the area. Staff is requesting additional time to com-
plete a land use analysis with recommended options for the area
and to properly notify all property owners.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the matter be continued to the Mayor and
Council meeting of December 19, 1988.
