CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Forecast Mortgage Corporation developed Tract 13436, a single
family housing tract north of Belmont Street and east of
Pine. The City of San Bernardino owns a fourteen (14) acre
parcel adjacent to the westerly boundary of the tract and six
hundred and thirty acres adjacent to the eastern boundary of
this tract. Both parcels of land are dedicated for Water
Department use. The fourteen acre parcel is a future reser-
voir site and the six hundred acres are water spreading
grounds. The parcel of land owned by Forecast includes a
strip of land outside the boundaries of the tract which lies
south of Redwood Street to Belmont Avenue. The strip of land
is between the City owned property. The strip of land is
.452 more or less acres.
The Board of Water Commissioners, at their meeting held on
October 21, 1986 unanimously voted to allow Forecast to
construct Redwood Street from Pine Avenue to Brenda Lane
across the fourteen acre parcel and a small portion of the
City owned property east of the tract, and that Forecast
would Quitclaim the strip of land south of the tract to the
City of San Bernardino, reserving an easement for public
utility purposes.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL, CITY OF SAN
BERNARDINO, ACCEPTING A QUITCLAIM DEED FROM FORECAST MORTGAGE
CORP., A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION FOR A PARCEL OF LAND AND DEDI-
CATING SAID PARCEL FOR WATER DEPARTMENT USE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CO~10N COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO:
SECTION 1.
That the Mayor and Common Council of the City of
San Bernardino hereby accepts a quitclaim deed from Forecast
Mortgage Corp., a California Corporation, for a parcel of land
described as follows:
THAT PORTION OF SECTIONS 6 AND 7, TOWNSHIP 1 NORTH, RANGE 4
WEST, SAN BERNARDINO BASE AND MERIDIAN AS SHOWN ON MAP OF
MUSCUPIABE RANCHO RECORDED IN BOOK 1 OF MAPS, PAGE 24 AND
BOOK 7 OF MAPS, PAGE 23, RECORDS OF SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING AT THE INTERSECTION OF CENTERLINE OF BELMONT
AVENUE AND THE EAST LINE OF THE IRVINGTON LAND & WATER
COMPANY'S SUBDIVISION AS PER PLAT RECORDED IN BOOK RIft,
PAGE 32, RECORDS OF SURVEY; THENCE NORTH 20 DEGREES 39'

WEST A DISTANCE OF 594.83 FEET TO A POINT ON THE CENTER-
LINE OF BELMONT AVENUE; THENCE NORTH 62 DEGREES 47' 55ft
WEST ALONG SAID CENTERLINE, A DISTANCE OF 20.50 FEET TO
THE POINT OF BEGINNING.
EXCEPT THEREFROM ANY PORTION THEREOF LYING WITHIN BELMONT
AVENUE.
RESERVING TO THE GRANTORS HEREOF, THEIR HEIRS AND ASSIGNS,
AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES IN, UNDER, OVER,
THROUGH AND ACROSS A STRIP OF LAND 15.00 FEET WIDE LYING
