STAFF REPORT
Engineering Division was requested by Public Services to consider the
need for a stop sign on Meyers Road at its intersection with Little
League Drive. The request was discussed by the Mayor's Traffic Safety
Advisory Committee at their 1/14/87 meeting.
Meyers Road intersects Little League Drive and perpendicularly forms a
nTeen intersection. Due to recent residential developments on Meyers
Road, traffic has s i g n i f i can t 1 y increased. The m a j 0 r i t Y of the t r a f f i c ,
at this intersection, flows from Meyers to Little League and vise versa
with only occasional traffic going Northbound.
Little League Drive, according to the Verdemont Area Plan, is a desig-
nated collector street between Meyers Road and Frontage Road and its
prol onga ti on to Kenda 11 Dri ve, South of 1-215.
Based on the above, the Committee recommends that Little League Drive be
classified as a through-highway and that stop signs be installed at its
intersections of Meyers Road, Belmont Avenue, Little League Drive and
Fron ta ge Road.
City Attorney:
1. Add subsection 9.2 to Section One of Resolution 655 to read:
9.2 Little League Drive
Between Kendall Drive South of 1-215 and Meyers
Road.
2. Amend subsection (29.06) of Section One, Resolution 2482 to
read:
29.06 For the purpose of stopping traffic entering
Little League Drive at its intersections with the
following streets:
Little League Drive
Fron ta ge Roa d
Belmont Avenue
