Synopsis of Previous Council action:
11-04-85 -- Mayor and Council agreed that $460,000 of SB 300 funds will be
allocated on a priority basis established by the City Engineer
and Director of Public Services, irrespective of wards.
01-06-86 -- The joint recommendation of the Directors of Public Works and
Public Services for reconstruction and resurfacing of major
arterials from the second apportionment of SB 300 funds was
approved.
03-04-86 -- Resolution approved authorizing execution of a standard contract
with the County of San Bernardino concerning joint participation
in the subject project.

Recommended motion:
That the work performed by the Contractor, in accordance
with Specification No. 7047, be approved and accepted, and
that final payment be authorized at the expiration of the
lien period.

All work under this contract was satisfactorily completed as of
The contract was awarded for the low bid price of $100,091.04. The
actual final contract price is $95,885.34, due to a decrease in the quantities
of reinforcing paving fabric and asphaltic concrete, from the quantities esti-
mated in the bid documents.
We recommend that the work be approved and accepted and that final
payment be authorized.
SYNOPSIS OF PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION Continued:
09-08-86 -- Approval of plans referred back to City Engineer for discussion
with Council Member Quiel .
10-06-86 -- Approval of plans and authorization for the Director of Public
Works/City Engineer to advertise for bids.
11-18-86 -- Adoption of Resolution No. 86-477 awarding contract to Industrial
Asphalt, for the low bid price of $100,091.04.
