Synopsis of Previous Council action:
Periodically, resolutions have been presented to the Common
Council for authorization to impose liens on certain parcels
of property on which costs have accrued by the City's abate-
ment of public nuisances that existed on said property.

2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO IMPOSING LIENS
ON CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF
3 SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE COSTS OF THE ABATEMENT OF A PUBLIC
NUISANCE. (928 N. ACACIA, 1599 W. BASELINE, 150 E. COURT ST.,
4 5718 N. D STREET, 2715 DEL NORTE CIRCLE, 637 SOUTH I STREET,
133 SOUTH L STREET, 1371 N. MT. VIEW AVENUE, 1248 W. REECE
5 STREET).

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
7 CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
8 SECTION 1. The City of San Bernardino, pursuant to its
9 authority under San Bernardino Municipal Code Chapter 15.28,
10 and other laws, did lawfully cause public nuisance abatements
11 on the real property described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
12 and incorporated herein by reference as though fully set
13 forth. The last known owners of record as to each such parcel
14 are also specified in Exhibit "A".
15 Due notice was given to the person or persons having an
16 interest in said property and a hearing was held by the Board
17 of Building Commissioners to hear protests and to assess the
18 costs of said abatements on said property. The Board of
19 Building Commissioners has entered its order determining the
20 costs to be reasonable and proper and imposing a lien upon the
21 land involved. Notice of the right to appeal to the Mayor and
22 Common Council has been issued to all affected property
23 holders. The Board of Building Commissioners now request that
24 the Mayor and Common Council confirm the imposition of the
25 lien.
26 SECTION 2. The matter having now come before the Mayor
27 and Common Council for confirmation of the imposition of the

lien imposed, the following costs are found to have been duly
incurred by the City pursuant to proceedings under said
provisions of the San Bernardino Municipal Code and the final
statements of costs on file with the City Clerk are hereby
confirmed and adopted as special assessments:

16 "A".
17 SECTION 3. If said sum is not fully paid to the City
18 Clerk, City Hall, San Bernardino, within five (5) days after
19 the adoption of this resolution as to any such individual
20 parcel, then said sum shall be and become a lien on said
21 property pursuant to said Municipal Code provisions and ap-
22 plicable laws and shall be collected as a special assessment
23 thereon.
24 SECTION 4. In the event said sum is not paid as herein-
25 above provided, the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a
26 certified copy of this resolution with the Auditor of the
27 County of San Bernardino, State of California, directing that

said sum be entered as lien charges against said property as
it appears on the current assessment rolls, to be collected at
the same time and in the same manner, subject to the same
penalties and interest upon delinquencies, as the general
taxes for the City of San Bernardino are collected.
The City Clerk shall also present for recording appropriate
notices of the imposition of these liens with the County
Recorder.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the Mayor and Common Council of the City of San
Bernardino at a meeting thereof, held on
the day of , 1986, by the following vote, to
