The Winter Holiday Mobilization period is December 17, 2010 - January 2, 2011; and the Labor Day Mobilization period is August 19 - September 5,2011. In addition to conducting checkpoints during these periods, personnel overtime funding may be awarded for additional checkpoints outside of the mobilization periods. The UC Berkeley Safe Transportation Research and Education Center (SafeTREC) will administer and coordinate the mini grants for OTS. Mini-grantees are reimbursed only for the actual overtime cost for checkpoint operation(s) up to the contractual cost per checkpoint and up to the award amount. No other costs are covered.
