RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 655 ENTITLED, IN PART, "A RESOLUTION... DESIGNATING CERTAIN
STREETS, OR PORTIONS THEREOF AS THROUGH HIGHWAYS..." AND
ESTABLISHING A THREE-WAY STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF MAYFIELD
AVENUE AND FIFTY-NINTH STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Rcsolution No. 655, which designatcs certain streets, or portions
thereof, as through highways, Section One is amcnded by amcnding Subsection (5.2) FIFTY-
NINTH STREET to read as follows:
"(5.2) FIFTY-NINTH STREET
(A) At its Intersection with Mayfield Avenue (3-Way Stop).
SECTION 2: Resolution No. 655, which designatcs certain streets, or portions
thereof, as through highways, Section One is amendcd by amending Subsection (9.93)
MA YFIELD A VENUE to read as follows:
"(9.93) MAYFIELD A VENUE
(A) At its intersection with 33'd Street.
(B) At its interscction with 59'h Strect (3-Way Slop).

Use only at residential street intersections excluding arterials, collectors, local collectors, where ADT do not
exceed 2,500 Vehicles on each Intersecting Street
Warrant B is satisfied if B and any two of the criteria B-1 through B-10 are met

8.5 Intersection is abutting a park, major shopping center or other high pedestrian
use facility.
8-6. Pedestrian volume greater than 480 units/hr in any 8 hour period.
The combined vehicular and pedestrian volume crossing the major street exceeds 125
8-7. units during at least two hours where at least 200 vehicles enter the intersection each
hour from all approaches during any 8-hour period.
8-8. One approach of the intersection is a driveway serving a commercial area.
8-9. One approach of the intersection is a driveway servicing a residential property. X

8-11. The vehicle volume entering the intersection from all approaches exceeds 600 units
during any hour at an intersection.
Less than desirable pedestrian or vehicular conditions not listed above or contained
8-12. in the criteria of the State of California for the installation of Stop signs exist at the
intersection (as determined/verified by the City's licensed Traffic Engineer).
