CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO - REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
STAFF REPORT
Subject:
Direct City Manager to Begin Exploring and Implementation of Parking
Meters in the Court House Square in the City of San Bernardino.
Background:
Currently the City of San Bernardino is exploring cost savings and revenue
options to close a budget deficit. One option is to implement Parking Meters
around the Courthouse to offset the cost of our Parking Enforcement
Officers.
Recommendation:
That the City Manager be directed to conduct a study of the use of Parking
Meters around the Judicial Square commonly know as 5th Street to the
North, Arrowhead Ave on the West and 3rd Street to the South and to the
East on Sierra Way. Approve of the use of Parking Meters in the Judicial
Square around the Courthouse.
