RESOLUTION NO.
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO, AUTHORIZING AND
SETTING THE SPECIAL TAX RATE FOR THAT CERTAIN AREA GENERALLY
LOCATED NORTH OF HIGHLAND AVENUE, EAST OF GOLDEN AVENUE FOR
PARAMEDIC SERVICES, SPECIAL TAX AREA 2006-1, AND APPROVING THE
FISCAL YEAR 2009/2010 TAX ROLL
WHEREAS, on January 9, 2006, the Mayor and Common Council of the City adopted
Resolution No. 2006-10, making application to the Local Agency Formation Commission for
annexation of certain unincorporated territory generally located north of Highland A venue, east
of Golden Avenue, known as City of San Bernardino Annexation No. 359, LAFCO 3049, the
boundaries of which are more particularly described in said Resolution No. 2006-10; and
WHEREAS, on May 17, 2006, the Local Agency Formation Commission adopted
LAFCO Resolution No. 2924, approving said Annexation No. 359; and
WHEREAS, on November 5, 1995, the electors of County Service Area 38,
Improvement Zone L, duly authorized a special tax levy for financing paramedic services not to
exceed $19 per individual dwelling unit and $38 per commercial unit, per year; and
WHEREAS, the area within the boundaries of said Annexation No. 359 is entirely
within a portion of said County Service Area 38, Improvement Zone L ("CSA 38L"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said LAFCO Resolution No. 2924, the Local Agency
Formation Commission ordered said annexation area to be detached from CSA 38L and
transferring the functions, assets, liabilities, contracts, obligations, responsibilities, and
property tax distribution, if any, of said CSA 38L to the City of San Bernardino as successor
agency, pursuant to Government Code Section 56886 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, a Tax Roll has been prepared totaling $16,226.00, which sets forth the
individual special tax to be levied on each of the parcels of land within Special Tax Area 2006-
I for the fiscal year 2009/2010.

AREA 2006-1, AND APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2009/2010 TAX ROLL
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the special tax rate of$19 per individual dwelling unit and $38 per
commercial unit is hereby set as the special tax rate for the parcels within the boundaries of
Special Tax Area 2006-1, for paramedic services for said area for Fiscal Year 2009/20 I O.
SECTION 2. That the Mayor and Common Council do hereby find and determine that
the Special Tax to be levied against the parcels of land within Special Tax Area 2006-1 are
correctly set forth on Special Tax Roll No. 2006-1, for the fiscal year 2009/20 I 0, on file in the
office of the City Clerk of the City of San Bernardino, and do hereby confirm said Special Tax.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be
transmitted to the Office of the Auditor-Controller for the County of San Bernardino with the
request that the individual special taxes be placed on the subject 2009/20 I 0 property tax bills for
collection together with all other property taxes.
