Schuma, Planning Director Subject: Resolutions for Previously Approved General Plan Amendments Dept: Planning Date: October 14, 1985 Mayor and Council Meeting of November 4, 1985, 9:00 a.m. Synopsis of Previous Council action: Council has previously taken action to approve each of the attached General Plan Amendments. The attached resolutions would formalize those approvals. Recommended motion: That the Mayor and Council approve the attached resolutions requested by the City Attorney's Office in order to formally adopt the eleven respective General Plan Amendments. ~ Signature Frank A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITV OF SAN BERNARDINO APPROVING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION AS TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT NO. 37 TO THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITV OF SAN BERNARDINO (GENERAL PLAN LAND USE ELEMENT). BE IT RESOLVED BV THE MAVOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITV O~ SAN BERNARDINO AS FOLLOWS: SECTI ON 1. Recitals. (a) The General Plan Land Use Element for the City of San Bernardino was adopted by the Mayor and Common Council by Resolution No. 7336 on August 17. 1964. '(b) Amendment No. 37 to the General Plan of the City of San Bernardino was approved by the Planning Commission of the City of San Bernardino on November 1B, 1980, after a legally advertised public hearing. (c) A negative decla~ation issued by the Environmental Review Committee of the City, complete within an initial study relating to Amendment No. 37 and all comments relative thereto have been reviewed and approved by the Planning Commi ssi on and the Mayor and Common Counci 1 incompliance wi th the California Environmental Quality Act and local regulations. (d) The Mayor and Common ,Council reivewed and considered proposed Amendment No. 37 on Decembp~\8, 1980. (e) The adoption of Amendment No. 37 is deemed in the interest of the orderly development of the City and is consistent with the goals and objec- tives of the existing General Plan. SECTI ON 2. Neqative Declaration. SECTION 3. Amendment. The Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of San Bernardino is amended by changing the irregularly-shaped parcels of land consisting of approximately 8.0 acres located on the east side of Arden Avenue approximately 500 feet south of Highland Avenue, as outlined on the map entitled Exhibit "A", a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, from Public to Medium-High Density Residential uses (15-36 units per acre). This amendment is designated as General Plan Amendment No. 37 SECTI ON 4. Map Notation. This resolution and the amendment effected by it shall be noted on such appropriate maps as have been adopted and approved by the Mayor and Common Council.
