Request the San Bernardino City Council approve a temporary certificate of
occupancy of the San Bernardino Convention Center to permit the San Bernar-
dino County Bar Association to hold their fifth annual Tech Expo '85 can-
puter and rosiness equipnent show on October 24th and 25th, 1985 (move in
on October 23rd), on these premises.
On November 20, 1984 the San Bernardino County Bar Association entered into
an agreement with Mr. Herman A. English to provide these facilities for the
dates and purposes indicated above.
Relying on this agreement, the San Bernardino County Bar Association invited
numerous local and out-Of-t~l dealers, distrirotors and manufacturers of
rosiness and office equipment to participate, and approximately fifty are
expected to have exhibits at the show.
The San Bernardino County Bar Association further asks the San Bernardino
City Council to approve an agreement authorizing Mr. English to permit the
use of the Convention Center on October 24th and 25th, provided that Mr.
English provides required insurance and assumes all related costs. Further,
that any agreement, or use of the premises, would be subject to the approval
of the Bankruptcy Court.
Tech Expo is a public service activity of the San Bernardino County Bar
Association. It is prcxluced to enable the business and professional can-
munity of the Inland Empire to receive information and demonstrations of the
latest "state of the art" equipment and techniques, as applied to rosiness
operations.
