That the plans for installation of Traffic Signals at 40th Street
and Sepulveda Avenue, in accordance with Plan No. 6831, be approved;
and the Director of Public Works/City Engineer authorized to advertise
for bids.

The plans for this improvement have been prepared by a
Consulting Engineer, and the project is ready to be advertised for
bids.
Listed below is an estimate of the total project cost:

An amount of $25,000 was approved by SANBAG from
SB 821 Funds to finance the cost of these signals. The 1985-86
Street Construction Fund Budget included an additional amount of
$45,000, under Account No. 242-362-57327, for a total allocation
of $70,000.
W~ recommend that the plans be approved and authoriza-
tion granted to advertise for bids.
URGENCY CLAUSE
It is essential that these traffic signals be installed as soon
as possible to provide protection for senior citizens.
