Synopsis of Previous Council action:
10-15-84 Resolution No. 84-418 adopted awarding a contract to Dorst and
Dryden Glass Contractors for the low bid price of $170,400.00.
04-15-85 -- Change Order No. One approved to authorize the Contractor to furnish
and install continuous angle, with caulking and masonry, and for
changing aluminum store front material from 5" width to 4'>" width,
at a net decrease in contract price of ($1,630.00), from $170,400.00
to $168,770.00.

That the work performed by the Contractor, in accordance
with Specification No. 6461, be approved and accepted;
and that final payment be authorized at the expiration
of the lien period.

STAFF REPORT

All work included in Bid Package No.7, Glazing, for the New
Central Library, was satisfactorily completed as af September 12, 1985.
The contract was awarded for the low bid price of $170,400.00.
The actual final contract price is $168,770.00, due to the reduction in
width of the aluminum store front material, as authorized by Change Order
No. One.
We recommend the work be approved and accepted, and that final
payment be authorized at the expiration of the lien period.
