STAFF REPORT
A one-foot strip, shown as Lot "A," was reserved at the
terminus of Lamarr Street. This strip was to be accepted by
the City at such time the street was extended to the north.
At the Council Meeting of 11-02-87, a decision was made
not to accept Lot "A."
A request has been received from the City of Rialto for
authorization to construct a 7.5 foot X 8-inch box culvert to
convey storm water from the street being constructed to the
north. Based upon the drainage study provided by the Subdivider's
Engineer, Lamarr Street can handle the additional storm water.
However, the water surface will be slightly above the curb on
Spruce Street during a 100-year storm.
We feel this request is in accordance with the natural
drainage pattern and recommend that it be approved.
URGENCY CLAUSE:
The tract on the parcel to the north is under construction, and
the drainage facility needs to be installed in order to avoid
having mud and debris washed on to Lamarr Street, and create a
nuisance.
